This recipe is based on the Super Power Chia Bread from Oh She Glows, except that I halved the ingredients.

Super_Power_Chia_bread

(Yields: 2 slices, Serving: 4, Prep time: 15 mins, Cook time: 35 mins)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 2 tablespoons buckwheat flour
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 320°F (160°C).

Add chia seeds, oat and buckwheat flour, sunflower seeds (I used roasted, but I recommend raw), oregano, thyme garlic powder, onion powder and salt into a bowl.

Pour in the water.

Mix it until it’s nice and thick.

Spoon the mixture on a greased oven tray and use a knife or spatula to spread it out evenly.

Bake for about 35 minutes until it has hardened.

Take the bread out of the oven, cut it into pieces and allow it to cool down.
