I’ve been having quite a lot of trouble sleeping lately and it’s interesting I never really stopped to think about why. It was only a few days ago I noticed that OMFG there’s caffeine in cocoa/cacao (chocolate) and I’ve been eating a lot of it in the afternoons. Perhaps this is why I’ve been having so much trouble!

Did you know that Carob powder is a less bitter, sweet and with slightly less flavour than cacao?

 

Carob, like cacao, are also taken from a tropical pod. The major difference is that it has no caffeine!

Not that I am against cacao, it’s just that my horrible sleep is always a problem every morning when I wake up so early and can’t get back to sleep. Sometimes, you have to look at every little thing that may be causing it.

I had carob brownies while I was at Dr J’s during my LA trip and I have to say, it was some of the most delicious brownies I had ever tasted in my entire life! It also tasted exactly like chocolate!

The only trouble is, it is harder to buy carob as it is cocoa powder. You will NEED to find a health food store or buy it online. Since I am lazy to search for all these stores, I bought mine on amazon:
