Mmm, nothing like an antioxidant rich berry smoothie right after a workout!
(Yields: 2 cups, Serving: 2, Prep time: 5 mins, Cook time: 5 mins)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 cup 100% pomegranate juice
- 2 cups mixed frozen berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 6 ice cubes
Be sure that you’ve frozen the berries overnight!
Put everything in the blender and turn it on low for a minute or so, then on high.
(I used half the amount as I was originally going to only make one serving, that’s why it looks as if there’s less in my blender.)
Make sure all the ice has been blended properly!
Something I really love is having my smoothies nice and thick, so I like to put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. That way, it’s more icy but not frozen.
